GSE Literacy? Why? How?
LITERACY is the ability to read and write for communication with written or printed symbols. FUNCTIONAL LITERACY is the ability to read and write at the level necessary to participate in society and communities effective. CULTUREAL LITERACY is the ability or state of having sufficient common knowledge, namely educational background, experiences, basic skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening) and training to function competently in a specific society, including habits, attitudes, history, custom and so on.
So, GSE LITERACY means your abilily to serve the purposes of a GSE team member or team leader. Very boldly I coined this term “GSE LITERACY” in the hope of promoting the awareness of how to be a competent GSE team member and especially a Rotarian serving as GSE Team Leader, club president, club GSE coordinator, hosting district GSE Chair, Coordinators, AG, and host Rotarian.
MEDIA LITERACY is also helpful to all persons participating into or involving in GSE educational programs and activities. So, let’s work togather on promoting GSE LITERACY and all other LITERACIES necessary for a satisfactory GSE performance.
